Professional Code

As a healthcare psychologist, I must adhere to the professional code established in the Dutch Individual Healthcare Professions Act (Wet BIG). Confidentiality is one of the most important aspects of the professional code. Information is never provided to third parties without your written consent. The duty of confidentiality is also regulated in the Medical Treatment Contracts Act (WGBO) and the Client Complaints in Healthcare Act (WKCZ).

Since 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) applies. In that context, I have prepared a privacy statement.

Kwaliteitsstatuut

As of 1 January 2017, all providers of ‘medical mental health care’, i.e. mental health care within the Zorgverzekeringswet, are obliged to publish a quality statute, a ‘kwaliteitsstatuut’ in Dutch. The kwaliteitsstatuut describes how the healthcare provider ensures that the right help is provided in the right place and by the right healthcare provider, within a professional and high-quality network. Dissatisfied or a complaint?

If you are dissatisfied with the treatment, approach, or anything else, I ask you to discuss this with me as soon as possible. I take your comments or feedback seriously and am always willing to think along in finding solutions. Should we not be able to resolve the matter together, you can contact the National Association of Independent Psychologists and Psychotherapists (LVVP) to request mediation or file a complaint.
